2. #WelcomeTo2016 Today I continue with our series on how to seek the kingdom of God and it’s righteousness.
3. #WelcomeTo2016 Yesterday, we started looking at the parable of the sower in Mark 4.
4. #WelcomeTo2016 The parable of the sower is the rosetta stone of Christianity. Understand it and you understand Christianity.
5. #WelcomeTo2016 The parable of the sower gives you an understanding of how to successfully produce results with God’s Word
6. #WelcomeTo2016 Even a massive prayer life without understanding and operating the parable of the sower will be very erratic.
7. #WelcomeTo2016 Christianity is much closer to the farming profession than the emergency services profession.
8. #WelcomeTo2016 Christianity operates largely based on the seed and harvest principle. You reap what you sow.
9. #WelcomeTo2016 You are more productive with God by sowing the right seeds in advance than shooting emergency prayers
10. #WelcomeTo2016 We need pulpits to emphasize more on sowing God’s Word in advance than just emergency prayers.
11. #WelcomeTo2016 If you have a non-life threatening situation at hand, you can produce a result sowing God’s Word within 1 calendar year.
12. #WelcomeTo2016 We already established that the seed for progress and change is the Word of God.
13. #WelcomeTo2016 From previous broadcasts also, we established that the ground or soil where seeds are planted is our hearts.
14. #WelcomeTo2016 Whether or not the Word of God will produce in your life to manifest the kingdom depends on the state of your heart.
15. #WelcomeTo2016 We looked at the 4 states of heart. Jesus gave a description of each heart as He explained the parable of the sower.
16. #WelcomeTo2016 Please note that it is possible for a Christian to operate in any of the 4 hearts.
17. #WelcomeTo2016 Today we look at prayer and fasting. #WelcomeTo2016
18. Jesus said to his disciples about a particular protracted problem that this kind goeth not out but by prayer & fasting. #WelcomeTo2016
19. The kingdom is not in word (church slogan, catch-phrases) but in POWER. Power shifts obstacles out of your way. #WelcomeTo2016
20. If you are plagued with a protracted issue, you cannot beat it using mental catch phrases. You need to introduce power. #WelcomeTo2016
21. The way to introduce spiritual power into your situation is through prayer, fasting and the Word of God. #WelcomeTo2016
22. I see several tweets from Christians suggesting that they have prayed several times to God and He hasn’t answered them. #WelcomeTo2016
23. To get our prayers answered, we first need to change our negative and unattractive image of God. #WelcomeTo2016
24. Many of us envisage God as a cruel and heartless schoolmaster who will watch you cry, scream and weep for a miracle. #WelcomeTo2016
25. Many of us envisage God same way as our earthly fathers who will use our errors to evade granting us a request. #WelcomeTo2016
26. Unfortunately, many pulpits have presented God as a tit-for-tat God who withholds answers to prayers in vengeance #WelcomeTo2016
27. If your image of God is patterned after an abusive earthly father, you will rule yourself out of answered prayers. #WelcomeTo2016
28. I will share 2 scriptures from God’s Word that should govern your approach to God in prayer. Heb 4:16 & Heb 10:19 #WelcomeTo2016
29. Heb 4:16a Let us therefore come BOLDLY unto the throne of grace, …. #WelcomeTo2016
30. Heb 4:16b …. that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. #WelcomeTo2016
31. We are to come BOLDLY to the throne of grace to OBTAIN MERCY and find GRACE to help in TIMES of NEED. #WelcomeTo2016
32. Heb 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, #WelcomeTo2016
33. Our BOLD ACCESS as believers into the THRONE ROOM is not based on our good works but based on the BLOOD of JESUS. #WelcomeTo2016
34. Heb 10:19 and Heb 4:16 destroy most religious statements I see bandied around by prayer contractors. #WelcomeTo2016
35. Your prayer life cannot be productive if your approach into God’s presence is not based on Heb 4:16 & Heb 10:19 #WelcomeTo2016
36. Our BOLD ACCESS unto God’s throne of GRACE is not based on our works in church but based on the BLOOD of JESUS. #WelcomeTo2016
37. If you come into God’s presence quoting your good works as basis for God to hear you, your approach is wrong. #WelcomeTo2016
38. Even the prodigal son did not have the time to negotiate as a hired servant before his father beautified him. #WelcomeTo2016
39. Another approach unto God’s throne of grace we must never forget can be found in Psalm 100:4 #WelcomeTo2016
40. Ps 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, & into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, & bless his name. #WelcomeTo2016
41. NEVER start a prayer to God without THANKING and PRAISING HIM first. #WelcomeTo2016
42. No matter how hardly pressed you are, you must find something to thank God for before you start a prayer. #WelcomeTo2016
43. Thanksgiving shows that you are grateful for what God has done and you put yourself in line for another miracle. #WelcomeTo2016
44. Even in real life, if you despise a 100 Naira gift, the giver would bypass you when he can afford a 100,000 Naira gift. #WelcomeTo2016
45. Prayer is such a vast subject but I will only touch on a few basics on this tweet cast. #WelcomeTo2016
46. The man with the most effective prayer life in history was Jesus. He knew the Father perfectly & got all He prayed for. #WelcomeTo2016
47. If we want to pray and get maximum results, we need to switch from what men say about prayer to what Jesus said. #WelcomeTo2016
48. The teaching of Jesus on prayer was totally positive and He never gave excuses as to why God would dodge answering you. #WelcomeTo2016
49. In next few tweets, I will list a few scriptures on what Jesus said about prayer and not what men or experiences said. #WelcomeTo2016
50. Scripture 1: Matthew 7:7-8 #WelcomeTo2016
51. Matt 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: #WelcomeTo2016
52. Matt 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. #WelcomeTo2016
53. Jesus said EVERYONE who ASKS RECEIVES. Whoever (including you) that excluded you from EVERYONE lied to you about God. #WelcomeTo2016
54. Jesus said HE that SEEKETH FINDETH. No exclusions. #WelcomeTo2016
55. Jesus said to HIM that KNOCKETH it shall be OPENED. #WelcomeTo2016
56. Matthew 7:7-8 destroys the myth that answered prayer is the exclusive preserve of just a few privileged Christians. #WelcomeTo2016
57. Unfortunately, many Christians don’t believe their prayers over themselves are more powerful than the prayers of others. #WelcomeTo2016

59. Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. #WelcomeTo2016
60. Jesus said ALL THINGS I ASK IN PRAYER, BELIEVING, I SHALL RECEIVE. #WelcomeTo2016
61. Jesus didn’t say ALL THINGS THAT TWITTER OR YOUR FRIENDS OR YOUR CHURCH AGREE AS POSSIBLE. Jesus said ALL THINGS. #WelcomeTo2016
62. Scripture 3: Mark 11:23 #WelcomeTo2016
63. Mark 11:23a For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed,… #WelcomeTo2016
64. Mark 11:23b and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things… #WelcomeTo2016
65. Mark 11:23c … Which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. #WelcomeTo2016
66. Again, Jesus said WHOSOEVER SHALL SAY. WHOSEVER includes YOU AND ME, NO EXCLUSIONS. #WelcomeTo2016
67. Speaking words of faith repeatedly against our mountains puts us in a position to BELIEVE when we PRAY. #WelcomeTo2016
68. You cannot pray for a God fearing spouse and join Twitter to say all the men around you are demons. #WelcomeTo2016
69. By doing this, you put yourself in a position where you don’t BELIEVE your prayers can be answered and you destroy ur prayers. #WelcomeTo2016
70. Scripture 4: Mark 11:24 #WelcomeTo2016
71. Mark 11:24a Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, .. #WelcomeTo2016
72. Mark 11:24b believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. #WelcomeTo2016
73. The word “Therefore” in Mark 11:24 means that Mark 11:23 and Mark 11:24 are inseparable twins. #WelcomeTo2016
74. In Mark 11:24, Jesus said “WHAT THINGS SOEVER, you DESIRE, PRAY, BELIEVING you have RECEIVED them, will SURELY HAPPEN #WelcomeTo2016
75. Jesus said you MUST BELIEVE you RECEIVED at the TIME you PRAYED NOT at the TIME the ANSWER MANIFESTS. #WelcomeTo2016
76. A believer who thinks God has not yet ANSWERED because the ANSWER hasn’t yet MANIFESTED is operating like Thomas. #WelcomeTo2016
77. I have heard many believers say that God hasn’t HEARD their prayers because they haven’t SEEN a manifestation. #WelcomeTo2016
78. If you operate that way, you disobey the words of Jesus in Mark 11:24 & you are praying religiously not the Jesus way. #WelcomeTo2016
79. Scripture 5: John 14:13-14 #WelcomeTo2016
80. John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. #WelcomeTo2016
81. John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. #WelcomeTo2016
82. Jesus said He WILL DO ANYTHING you ASK IN HIS NAME. Who will you believe over Jesus? Your friends, pastor or twitter? #WelcomeTo2016
83. Jesus is not like politicians in your country who makes empty promises. If He said it, it WILL SURELY HAPPEN. #WelcomeTo2016
84. Scripture 6: John 15:7-8 #WelcomeTo2016
85. John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. #WelcomeTo2016
86. John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. #WelcomeTo2016
87. Again Jesus even says that the way the Word bears fruit in our lives and glorify God is through answered prayers #WelcomeTo2016
88. Scripture 7: John 16:24 #WelcomeTo2016
89. John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. #WelcomeTo2016
90. Heaven is not like your earthly country where your leaders can fail on their promises to you due to scarce resources. #WelcomeTo2016
91. Here, Jesus is EVEN encouraging us to pray and get answers. Your prayers can NEVER bankrupt heaven. #WelcomeTo2016
92. There is a special kind of joy we experience when we see the answers to our prayers. #WelcomeTo2016
93. There are many types of prayers and we don’t have enough bandwidth to examine them today. #WelcomeTo2016
94. However, these 7 direct quotations of Jesus should be our authentic mindset on prayer not some human misrepresentations. #WelcomeTo2016
95. Take time to memorise these 7 direct quotations of Jesus on prayer and engrave them on your heart through declarations. #WelcomeTo2016
96. Don’t ever accept any reason from anyone why your prayers won’t be answered. Rather, switch such people off. #WelcomeTo2016
97. Prayer becomes a time we look forward to when we are fully persuaded that there is a divine guarantee on them. #WelcomeTo2016
98. We wouldn’t go the way of the world using crooked and underhanded methods if we were sure about our prayers. #WelcomeTo2016
99. We wouldn’t manipulate our situations to produce Ishmael alternatives to our Isaac if we were sure about our prayers. #WelcomeTo2016
100. You wouldn’t go the way of Twitter to steal boyfriends if you had confidence in the words of Jesus in those 7 verses. #WelcomeTo2016
101. Rather, we would reject alternatives that satan offers us because we are confident that Jesus delivered as promised. #WelcomeTo2016
102. Prayer cannot be covered in one single tweet cast but the words of our Master, Jesus, form a very good foundation. #WelcomeTo2016
103. Next and final broadcast in this #WelcomeTo2016 series will be about fasting. Watch out for it.
