Welcome to Resurrection Sunday. #ChristIsRisen
1. Jesus is no longer in the tomb. Jesus is risen. Jesus is alive and well. #ChristIsRisen
2. One thing I love about being a Christian is that Jesus is not lying 6 feet below the ground but He’s risen from the dead. #ChristIsRisen
3. Christianity is the only system whose founder is not 6 feet below the ground but He’s ALIVE and WELL and WORKING. #ChristIsRisen
4. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is an indispensable pillar of our belief systems in Christianity. #ChristIsRisen
5. The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is what makes Christianity tick. #ChristIsRisen
6. The resurrection of Jesus Christ was prophesied both by the prophets and by Jesus Himself before He was crucified. #ChristIsRisen
7. We had some foretaste of resurrection power in the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ before He was crucified on the cross. #ChristIsRisen
8. In John 11, Jesus turned up at the grave of Lazarus who was already dead, buried and stinking. #ChristIsRisen
9. John 11:23 reads “Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.”. He boldly declared that Lazarus would rise again. #ChristIsRisen
10. John 11:24 reads “Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” #ChristIsRisen
11. In John 11:24, Martha thought the timing of Jesus’ declaration was for the rapture. #ChristIsRisen
12. John 11:25 “… , I am the resurrection, and the life:he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:” #ChristIsRisen
13. Jesus then went on to introduce Himself as the resurrection and the life in John 11:25. Jesus Himself is the resurrection. #ChristIsRisen
14. He also said something very powerful along with declaring Himself as the resurrection that forms the basis of our faith. #ChristIsRisen
15. Jesus said that whoever believes in Him, though he were dead, he shall live again. #ChristIsRisen
16. This means that the involvement of the person of Jesus in our personal lives would bring resurrection power. #ChristIsRisen
17. It means that when we believe & embrace d words of Jesus we would experience resurrection power in dead areas of our lives. #ChristIsRisen
18. Jesus then proceeded to raise Lazarus from the dead after Lazarus was already dead for 4 days and buried. #ChristIsRisen
19. Our Christian experience hinges on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Without these, there’s no Christianity. #ChristIsRisen
20. I first heard about d resurrection of Jesus Christ from my parents when they read d bible to me. I implicitly believed it. #ChristIsRisen
21. Later on, I received Jesus Christ into my life as Lord and Saviour and saw His resurrection power give me a new life. #ChristIsRisen
22. Since then, I have seen many testimonies of His resurrection power in my life and family. #ChristIsRisen
23. One I won’t forget is when an expert gynaecologist in Basildon wrote off our chances of ever having a child of our own. #ChristIsRisen
24. Moni & I decided to believe in d resurrection power of Jesus Christ to quicken us for a miracle despite d expert’s report. #ChristIsRisen
25. Interestingly, Moni was discovered to be pregnant just around the Easter period of the year that Iyanu was born. #ChristIsRisen
26. Many Christians are unsure of the occurrence of the resurrection of Jesus and also unsure of it’s effect on their lives. #ChristIsRisen
27. The rest of this broadcast is to prove from the holy scriptures that Jesus Christ indeed rose from the dead. #ChristIsRisen
28. After Jesus was crucified and confirmed to be properly dead, the pharisees remembered His prophecies while He was alive. #ChristIsRisen
29. The pharisees remembered that Jesus predicted He would rise after 3 days of being dead and wouldn’t take any chances. #ChristIsRisen
30. Matt 27: 63 “Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.” #ChristIsRisen
31. Matt 27: 64a Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and #ChristIsRisen
32. Matt 27:64b steal him away, & say unto d people, He is risen from the dead:so the last error shall be worse than the first. #ChristIsRisen
33. Matt 27:65 — Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch:go your way, make it as sure as ye can. #ChristIsRisen
34. Matt 27:66 So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch. #ChristIsRisen
35. Making the sepulchre sure meant that his tomb was made very secure. It was a very highly secured location. #ChristIsRisen
36. Setting a watch meant a battalion of soldiers to guard the tomb round the clock. #ChristIsRisen
37. If the body of Jesus Christ ever got stolen, the entire battalion would be liable and they’ll be put to death. #ChristIsRisen
38. Has it ever happened before that soldiers were sentenced to death for a missing prisoner or subject? Yes. #ChristIsRisen
39. Acts 12:18 Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter. #ChristIsRisen
40. Acts 12:19a And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, … #ChristIsRisen
41. Acts 12:19b … he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. #ChristIsRisen
42. So the pharisees, Pilate and Roman soldiers had it all covered that the body of Jesus was fully secured in the tomb. #ChristIsRisen
43. So what happened on Sunday morning? Please read Matthew 28:1-8 #ChristIsRisen
44. The angel of the Lord had come from heaven to demobilise the soldiers, roll the stone back and sit on it. #ChristIsRisen
45. Then the angel told Mary Magdalene and the other Mary that Jesus was RISEN when they got to his sepulchre. #ChristIsRisen
46. Jesus was RISEN and had gone to Galilee before the Mary Magdalene and the other Mary arrived. #ChristIsRisen
47. PROOF #1 THAT JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD. PHARISEES & ROMANS SOUGHT TO COVER IT UP. #ChristIsRisen
48. Jesus was no longer in the tomb. He was RISEN. He was walking around town appearing to people. #ChristIsRisen
49. The pharisees didn’t have the dead body, so they couldn’t produce it to disprove the resurrection of Jesus. #ChristIsRisen
50. The Romans didn’t have the dead body, so they couldn’t produce it to disprove the resurrection of Jesus. #ChristIsRisen
51. The disciples didn’t have the dead body because there’s no way they could have gone past the battalion at the sepulchre. #ChristIsRisen
52. Jesus was RISEN and was SEEN walking around town as a free man and the pharisees couldn’t locate him for re-arrest. #ChristIsRisen
53. So the pharisees and the Romans bribed the soldiers to lie that the body of Jesus was stolen by the disciples. #ChristIsRisen
54. PROOF #2 THAT JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD. HE APPEARED TO HIS DISCIPLES. #ChristIsRisen
55. Luke 24:39a Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself:handle me, and see; … #ChristIsRisen
56. Luke 24:39b for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. #ChristIsRisen
57. He ate with them in Luke 24:41-43 to show He wasn’t a ghost. Ghosts don’t eat food except in Nollywood movies. #ChristIsRisen
58. PROOF #3 THAT JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD. PAUL TESTIFIED OF HIS RESURRECTION AND WROTE OF HIS APPEARANCE TO MANY. #ChristIsRisen
59. 1 Cor 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: #ChristIsRisen
60. 1 Cor 15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: #ChristIsRisen
61. 1 Cor 15:6a After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; #ChristIsRisen
62. 1 Cor 15:6b of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. #ChristIsRisen
63. 1 Cor 15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. #ChristIsRisen
64. The RISEN Christ was once seen by 500 people at a time. All 500 couldn’t have been hallucinating or paid to lie. #ChristIsRisen
65. PROOF #4 THAT JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD. PETER PREACHED THE RESURRECTION TO THOSE WHO CRUCIFIED HIM WITHOUT DISPUTE FROM THEM #ChristIsRisen
66. Acts 2:23a Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, #ChristIsRisen
67. Acts 2:23b ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: #ChristIsRisen
68. Acts 2:24a Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: #ChristIsRisen
69. Acts 2:24b because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. #ChristIsRisen
70. It was shortly after d Jews crucified Jesus that Peter was preaching resurrection to them saying that they crucified Jesus #ChristIsRisen
71. In Peter’s sermon, he was clear that Christ was RISEN. If he was wrong, the Jews wouldn’t have gotten saved en-masse. #ChristIsRisen
72. Peter was preaching the resurrection of Christ to the same people who crucified Christ to death, some weeks before then. #ChristIsRisen
73. If Jesus was still dead, the Jews would have told Peter he was lying and taken him to see His grave. #ChristIsRisen
74. PROOF #5 THAT JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD. TRANSFORMED LIVES #ChristIsRisen
75. Acts 5:15a Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, #ChristIsRisen
76. Acts 5:15b that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by, might overshadow some of them. #ChristIsRisen
77. The resurrection power of Christ transformed Peter from a man who denied Christ to a man walking in the power of God. #ChristIsRisen
78. Every believer who has accepted the saving grace of Jesus Christ has seen the resurrection power of Christ do something #ChristIsRisen
79. I used to be a chain smoker & alcoholic before I met Jesus Christ. His resurrection power killed my taste for such things. #ChristIsRisen
80. The resurrection power of Jesus Christ has brought the new birth and transformation to several lives today. #ChristIsRisen
81. The resurrection power of Christ transformed a Saul into a Paul. #ChristIsRisen
82. So I have shared 5 infallible scriptural proofs that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is not a myth but a POWERFUL REALITY. #ChristIsRisen
83. When ur friends come to look for u in that sorrowful place where u have always been, they won’t find u there in Jesus Name. #ChristIsRisen
84. The Resurrection power of Jesus Christ will fetch you out of every gravely situation and beautify your life in Jesus Name. #ChristIsRisen
85. They said that Lazarus was dead 4 days and already stinking. Yet the resurrection power of Jesus Christ fetched him out. #ChristIsRisen
86. D resurrection power of Jesus Christ will fetch u out of every stinking situation that has become ur identity in Jesus name #ChristIsRisen
87. They said Lazarus was already dead for 4 days which means that it was too late for Jesus to do anything about his case. #ChristIsRisen
88. D resurrection power of Jesus Christ will raise u from every case that the world has deemed too late for u, and beautify u. #ChristIsRisen
89. The resurrection power of Jesus Christ will secure victory for you over every attack of the enemy against your destiny. #ChristIsRisen
90. The resurrection power of Jesus Christ will multiply every financial seed you have sown into HIs kingdom back to you. #ChristIsRisen
