HOW TO RESIST THE DEVIL (OR ANY THING HE PUTS ON YOU)

James 4:7 says “submit yourselves unto God, resist the devil and he will flee from you”  (English Standard Version).

Resisting means saying “NO” – putting a stop to something you don’t want. Physically speaking, you can use a counter force to stop something you don’t want OR you just simply say “NO”.  Similarly in the realm of the spirit, you use your words, backed up with a strong determination in your heart to say “NO” to the devil and all his works.

Proverbs 18:21 and Mark 11: 23 and many other scriptures show clearly that your words play a big part (as well as a determination in your heart to stop evil). The battle is of course in your mind, so you need to cast down every imagination (praying in the spirit until you SEE with your GOD-given imagination that the victory is yours because of what Christ did on the Cross…

    Thank you Pastor Sola&wife Muni. Thank you. I was blessed by this. I needed understanding with something am believing God for.
