Merry Christmas to y’all. My Christmas lesson is here. Please note that this is not just for Christmas day but for every day. #SoulTies

1. Christmas means different things to different people across the world. #SoulTies
2. For some, it is a time to remember the birth of Jesus and celebrate it in church. #SoulTies
3. For some, it’s a time to exchange gifts with friends & family. For some, it’s a time to up retailing activity for profits. #SoulTies
4. Many secular under-performing retailers owe their survival and return to ‘+ve’ to Christmas sale activity. #SoulTies
5. For some, it’s a time to attend a carol service and listen to their favourite Christmas carol songs. #SoulTies
6. For some others, it’s a time to despise and dispute with other Christians over Jesus not being born on December 25 #SoulTies
7. It’s ok. Jesus wasn’t born on Dec 25 but we Christians have embraced Dec 25 as our day to celebrate, so chill & join d fun. #SoulTies
8. For some it compels a momentary pause in illicit activity. Porn is least watched in US on Christmas & Easter days. #SoulTies
9. For kids, it’s a time where they can participate in all sorts of nativity plays and have decorative lights fill the home. #SoulTies
10. It’s also a season when there’s loads of cooking, eating and sharing of food with neighbours and friends. #SoulTies
11. I partied drunk the year before I got saved into Christmas day and staggered home to join the butchering of the family ram. #SoulTies
12. My last tweet was about me in Nigeria so the animal rights mob in the West don’t throw their toys out of the pram. #SoulTies
13. It’s also a season when you walk into the mall and hear very lovely carols being belted by buskers and shops . #SoulTies
14. It’s also a season when people who haven’t been to church all year pause from their busyness and show up for a service. #SoulTies
15. Whichever group you belong to in the previous tweets, some things are clear about Christmas. It’s popularity is unrivalled. #SoulTies
16. There is no other human being in history whose birthday can be relied upon by great corporations for financial survival. #SoulTies
17. Even some secular Nigerian corporations hand out an extra month’s pay in December and call it Christmas bonus. #SoulTies
18. I am very thrilled also that the Christmas season is a season of peace and goodwill to all men. #SoulTies
19. Christmas season is time where all the attention is focussed on Christ whether for the right or wrong seasons. #SoulTies
20. There are many meanings people have attached to Christmas but it’s also the only opportunity some have, to receive d gospel. #SoulTies
21. Christmas season is a great opportunity for all believers to share the gospel with everyone around us. #SoulTies
22. It will therefore be a waste of opportunity by believers every Christmas season we don’t put out the gospel of Jesus Christ. #SoulTies
23. It will be a wasted season if all we do as Christians is eat drink and be merry and not tell the world why Christ was born. #SoulTies
24. Why was Christ born? Why did He need to be born? What did He come to achieve? How is all that relevant to us today? #SoulTies
25. To get the answers to these questions, we need to do a quick scan of what happened from Eden to the cross in a few minutes. #SoulTies
26. God created Adam and Eve, our initial ancestors and put them in a garden called Eden to have dominion over the earth. #SoulTies
27. God breathed His spirit into a lifeless mass of clay and the bible says that man became a living soul. #SoulTies
28. So man’s spirit came from God and when it entered into the lifeless mass of clay, his self-awareness (soul) began. #SoulTies
29. Man is a spirit, he has a soul and he lives in a body. Read 1 Thessalonians 5:23 to see this triune composition. #SoulTies
30. Gen 2:17a But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: ….  #SoulTies
31. Gen 2:17b ….for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.  #SoulTies
32. God told Adam that he would die if he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam & Eve ate and rest is history #SoulTies
33. Let’s note something though. Adam and Eve didn’t drop dead as soon as they ate this fruit. That should set us thinking. #SoulTies
34. Was God joking in Genesis 2:17 or did He change His mind along the way? None of the above. Let’s return to our composition. #SoulTies
35. When Adam & Eve ate of d tree, they did not die physically immediately. They died spiritually as soon as they ate of d tree. #SoulTies
36. What’s the difference between dying physically and dying spiritually? They are not exactly the same. #SoulTies
37. Remember, we established earlier that man is made up of spirit, soul and body. #SoulTies
38. Your body is just like an earth-suit that encases your spirit and soul. #SoulTies
39. When a man dies physically, his spirit and soul leave his body and the body can no longer function on the earth. #SoulTies
40. When a man dies spiritually, his spirit and soul still stay in his body but his spirit is disconnected from God. #SoulTies
41. Physical death means the departure of spirit & soul from the body. Spiritual death means disconnection of spirit from God. #SoulTies
42. Spiritual death is also described as separation of your spirit from God. #SoulTies
43. By the way, spirits don’t die. When your spirit leaves your body, it goes somewhere but it doesn’t cease to exist. #SoulTies
44. What gets buried at a funeral is an empty body or earth suit that has no spirit and soul in it. #SoulTies
45. This explains why Adam & Eve didn’t drop dead after eating of that tree but their spirits lost contact. How do I know? #SoulTies
46. a) Gen 3:8 they hid themselves from God  b) Gen 3:9 God called out to Adam (Where are thou?) #SoulTies
47. Spiritually, they died instantly as soon as they ate d fruit. Years later, their bodies broke down & they died physically. #SoulTies
48. What’s the implication for us? Everyone that was born through copulation was ‘dead on arrival’, was born spiritually dead. #SoulTies
49. Rom 5:12a Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin;  .. #SoulTies
50. Rom 5:12b ..  and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: #SoulTies
51. By the sin of Adam, we were all born as sinners. We were sinners not because we were sinning but cos we were born as sinners #SoulTies
52. Being born by church going parents or going to church or belonging to a denomination did nothing to change this status. #SoulTies
53. Rom 5:12 states that death passed on the whole of humanity through the action of just one man Adam. #SoulTies
54. Not even God’s love for humanity could just overrule this situation in our favour because ‘the wages of sin is death’ #SoulTies
55. By this action also, Adam ceded control of the world to satan & satan became the god of this world (cosmos). 2 Cor 4:4 #SoulTies
56. Natural disasters such as earthquakes, deadly floods etc are not the handiwork of God but that of satan. #SoulTies
57. Some wonder why God has eyes open while these deadly disasters happen or even allege that He implemented them. #SoulTies
58. God is bound by His Word and His laws. He doesn’t just do anything outside the jurisdiction of His Word or spiritual laws. #SoulTies
59. So by Adam’s action, the entire humanity was doomed. However, God had a plan of redemption that He kicked off in Gen 3. #SoulTies
60. Gen 3:15a And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed;.. #SoulTies
61. Gen 3:15b ..it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. #SoulTies
62. Gen 3:15 indicated that satan’s head would be bruised by the seed of the woman (Jesus), you’ll notice the man was left out. #SoulTies
63. Rom 5:10a For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son,.. #SoulTies
64. Rom 5:10b .. much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. #SoulTies
65. The love God has for us made Him send His only Son on a mission to save us from the inevitable consequence of Adam’s sin #SoulTies
66. So you see that all the activities I listed above that men engage in at Christmas have nothing to do with why Jesus was born #SoulTies
67. The prophet Isaiah of old, foretold the coming of Christ in the Old testament several times. We will look at Isaiah 9:6-7 #SoulTies
68. Isaiah 9:6 KJV “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: .. #SoulTies
69. …and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” #SoulTies
70. Isaiah stated the identity of Christ in Isaiah 9:6 and we will enumerate the components of Christ’s identity that he listed. #SoulTies
71. It is interesting that billions are celebrating the birthday of a Person whose identity they know little or nothing about. #SoulTies
72. Jesus is called “Wonderful”.  The gospels are filled with several instances of His wonderful works and miracles. #SoulTies
73. Not only did He do wonderful works that validated His identity, He left His Spirit to help us continue His wonderful acts #SoulTies
74. Have you experienced the wonders of Jesus in your life? Are you extending the wonderful nature of Christ to humanity? #SoulTies
75. The most profound wonder of Jesus when you get transformed in your inner man and become born again. #SoulTies
76. The greatest wonder in the life of a man is the transforming power of Christ. #SoulTies
77. The Wonderful Jesus arrested a terrorist called Saul and changed him to Paul who wrote 2/3 of the New Testament #SoulTies
78. Jesus is called “Counsellor”. The gospels are filled with counsel and words of wisdom from Christ. #SoulTies
79. These are not mere philosophical words in the league of religious scholars. He spoke the mind of God. #SoulTies
80. Jesus spoke with authority. He said success was hinged on hearing and doing His sayings. #SoulTies
81. Many Christians are confused today in this world of turmoil. Time to take Jesus as your personal Counsellor #SoulTies
82. If we all knew Jesus as “Counsellor”, we would not be confused and despondent like everyone else #SoulTies
83. Are you confused? Time to seek Jesus our Counsellor through prayer and the scriptures for His counsel. #SoulTies
84. Yes, you may be born again. But are you running with the counsel of Jesus or the counsel of Twitter? #SoulTies
85. Twitter Nigeria says test the man sexually before marrying. Jesus says hear and do my sayings to succeed. Who do you obey? #SoulTies
86. Twitter says hoard what you have. Jesus says give and it shall be given to you. Who do you obey? #SoulTies
87. Jesus was called “The Mighty God” in Isaiah 9:6 #SoulTies This is my most exciting part
88. This clearly settles the debate on whether Christ is God or not. Jesus Christ is God. #SoulTies
89. Jesus is not in the same class with prophets or patriarchs. Jesus Christ is God. He is boss. We worship Him as God #SoulTies
90. Jesus accepted worship from men and women during His earthly ministry. He is God. No controversy. #SoulTies
91. Any gospel that paints Christ as less than the Mighty God is heresy and it is only fit for the bin. #SoulTies
92. Jesus was called “Everlasting Father” in Isaiah 9:6. #SoulTies
93. He is not only God and saviour to us. He is also Father to us guiding us daily through the Holy Spirit. #SoulTies
94. Jesus was called “Prince of Peace” in Isaiah 9:6 #SoulTies
95. Jesus came to restore peace and order into the relationship between God and man that was severed by Adam’s mess up. #SoulTies
96. Col 1:20 “And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, … #SoulTies
97. …  I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.” #SoulTies
98. Jesus made peace between God and man through the blood of His cross. He brought reconciliation between God and man #SoulTies
99. The slate is now clean. The war between God and man is over. God has nothing against us. Jesus took the penalty for our sins. #SoulTies
100. Our accuser, satan, has now been thrown out of God’s presence. God no longer discusses u with him, the way He discussed Job #SoulTies
101. Jesus has brokered peace between God and man. Jesus is the Prince of peace. Peace and goodwill to all men. #SoulTies
102. Let us now switch over to the earthly mission of Jesus Christ. #SoulTies
103. John 3:16a For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, #SoulTies
104. John 3:16b that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. #SoulTies
105. Jesus didn’t come for the carols, the rice, the meat, the gifts we share, the retailers’ profits. He came for none of these. #SoulTies
106. Jesus came for the purpose of reconciling us back to God and bringing life (Zoe) back to our spirits, souls and bodies. #SoulTies
107. Everlasting Life doesn’t mean existing forever.It means living with a full connection to the Zoe of God in our entire beings. #SoulTies
108. Let us examine another scripture that talks about the purpose of the coming of Christ. #SoulTies
109. Mat 2:21, And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus:for he shall save his people from their sins. #SoulTies
110. The core purpose of His coming was to save us from the consequence of sin and reconnect back to the life of God. #SoulTies
111. Rom 5:19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. #SoulTies
112. Adam’s disobedience made ALL of us sinners. But d obedience of Christ was to make ALL of us partakers of God’s righteous nature. #SoulTies
113. Rom 5:17a For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and #SoulTies
114. Rom 5:17b of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) #SoulTies
115. Jesus came to pay d penalty for Adam’s sin on our behalf, reconnect us to the life of God, translate us into God’s kingdom. #SoulTies
116. What the death and resurrection of Christ did for us needs to be received by us freely and not under duress. #SoulTies
117. Do you know where your soul is heading to, should you die today? #SoulTies
118. If Jesus comes back this very minute, do you know if you will go with him to heaven? #SoulTies
119. If you cannot answer these 2 questions very clearly, you need to carefully consider the gospel of Jesus Christ. #SoulTies
120. Heaven is not by church membership or religious ancestry. It is not conferred by the leader of your religious sect. #SoulTies
121. Heaven is by accepting the grace of God through Jesus Christ and coming into a living relationship with Christ. #SoulTies
122. Jesus Christ is God’s ONLY provision for sin, He offers forgiveness and new life to you right now. #SoulTies
123. You can experience the way home to God. You can become a member of His family NOW. #SoulTies
124. John 1:12a But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God,..
125. John 1:12b …even to them that believe on his name: #SoulTies
126. Rom 10:9a That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth d Lord Jesus, #SoulTies
127. Rom 10:9b And shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from d dead, thou shalt be saved. #SoulTies
128. Rom 10:10a For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;. #SoulTies
129. Rom 10:10b ..and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. #SoulTies
130. Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. #SoulTies
131. What does it mean to commit yourself to Christ? It means turning away from sin and all your human efforts to save yourself #SoulTies
132. The commitment means trusting ONLY in Jesus’ death for you as the only payment ever needed for your sins. #SoulTies
133. Since He purchased you with His own blood, it also means transferring the ownership of your life to Jesus Christ. #SoulTies
134. The time to make the commitment to Jesus Christ is NOW. #SoulTies

136. Lord Jesus, thank You for dying on the cross for me. #SoulTies
137. Right now I repent of my sins and trust your shed blood as full payment for all my sins. #SoulTies

148. (6) Receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Acts 10:46, Acts 19:6 #SoulTies
