17. Today, we are discussing masturbation. is it a sin or not? Should the Christian indulge in it or not? #SoulTies

19. Let’s get into business. Is Masturbation a sin or not? #SoulTies (Part 3)
20. Yesterday, we stopped at examining various arguments by bible scholars that endorse masturbation as acceptable. #SoulTies
21. Today we continue by doing some self examination on ourselves to see how the practice of masturbation fits in. #SoulTies
22. But before we do that, I want to quickly make 7 statements to anyone currently involved in masturbation. #SoulTies
23. (1) Believer or not, the love God has for you is not any less because you masturbate. God loves you the same. #SoulTies
24. (2) Masturbation does not erase your name from the book of life. Not masturbating doesn’t put your name in either. #SoulTies
25. (3) Masturbation does not affect the composition of God. It only affects you and your spiritual effectiveness. #SoulTies
26. (4) No one has a right to make you feel inferior because you masturbate, many of us did it before but we won’t tell. #SoulTies
27. (5) Everyone else has some other weak area that may not be masturbation, that we seek grace to help for. #SoulTies
28. (6) If you now see the need to be rid of the addiction to masturbation, we will go through a few bible steps. #SoulTies
29. (7) There’s power available in God’s Word to crush any addiction we are facing in our privacy, without telling the church. #SoulTies
30. Now let’s start our self examination by reading 1 John 3:20-22 #SoulTies
31. 1 John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. #SoulTies
32. 1 John 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. #SoulTies
33. 1 John 3:22a And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, #SoulTies
34. 1 John 3:22b  and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. #SoulTies
35. There’s a part of us called the conscience. Our conscience is that part of our heart that condemns or excuses us. #SoulTies
36. Our conscience is the traffic light inside us that turns RED or GREEN when we do OR are about to do stuff. #SoulTies
37. If you are a tongue-talking and spirit-filled believer who practices masturbation, I want to ask a question in the next tweet. #SoulTies
38. Read your bible, then pray in tongues for 10 minutes each. Then think of masturbation. Does your heart feel right to do it? #SoulTies
39. Do you see a GREEN light or a RED light deep inside you? Do you feel like worshipping Jesus just after masturbating? #SoulTies
40. After watching porn & then treating urself to an orgy of masturbation, do u feel like just worshipping Jesus 4 a good time? #SoulTies
41. Don’t tell me your answers, please just keep them to yourself because there’s a jury out here on twitter. #SoulTies
42. Please permit me to share these 2 uncomfortable examples of masturbation I once read about on twitter. #SoulTies
43. D first was reported by a UK based female follower of mine. She works in an office where d toilet is shared by both sexes. #SoulTies
44. She was at d top of a queue waiting to use the toilet. The toilet indicated UNOCCUPIED and she then proceeded to enter. #SoulTies
45. There was a male colleague in the toilet masturbating himself during work hours & had forgotten to even lock the door. #SoulTies
46. Anything you hide in the toilet to do during office hours in secret and forget to lock the door behind you is an ADDICTION. #SoulTies
47. The second example was shared by another female follower about a dude sitting next to her on a bus in South London. #SoulTies
48. This guy unveiled his ‘equipment’ and started masturbating himself completely oblivious of the lady next to him. #SoulTies
49. These two examples prove to me that what would have started as ‘harmless’ could rapidly turn to a dangerous addiction. #SoulTies
50. For d non-believer, there is this deceptive feeling that dangerous things can be consumed as long as they aren’t in excess. #SoulTies
51. However, the instructions to believers on such matters differ from this deceptive mindset. Let us examine a few scriptures. #SoulTies
52. 1 Cor 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; …  #SoulTies   Flee not negotiate.
53. 2 Tim 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts:but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, .. Masturbation is a youthful lust #SoulTies
54. 1 Thess 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. #SoulTies  If it has the potential for evil, we are advised to abstain. #SoulTies
55. Based on these 3 scriptures, MASTURBATION is not a spiritually safe practice you should engage in as a believer. #SoulTies
56. How do we then solve the “lack of sex” problem that makes bible scholars justify masturbation as a good practice? #SoulTies
57. Ps 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. #SoulTies
58. Ps 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. #SoulTies
59. The WORD of GOD is the ULTIMATE and VALID answer to our sex problems in Christianity, not fleshly tools. #SoulTies
